Short Pump Town Center - Forgotten pages in Virginia’s history are given dramatic focus at Short Pump Town Center, a 1,162,000 Sq. ft. lifestyle center just outside of Richmond. Driving the brand identity, Huie Design worked extensively with architect TVS and Forest City Commercial Group to define the key concepts and architectural styles for the center, including this 18 ft. hand-sculpted pedestal/statue of Chef Powhatan, father to Pocahontas. (Huie even consulted the American Council on Indians to ensure historical accuracy.) Huie’s creative influence spans the bronze logotype and a range of historical obelisks, food court features, site signage and wayfinding elements.
