Battle House Hotel - A fixture in downtown Mobile for 100 years, the Battle House Hotel is not only being restored—but linked to the newly constructed RSA Tower. In a royal marriage of opposites, Huie Design established a vivid connection between the historic hotel and the 35-story contemporary tower, creating signage and wayfinding for 238 guest rooms, 40,000 square feet of event space, regal ballrooms, and a six-story parking garage. For the hotel itself, Huie designed an elegant new logo and elaborate cornerstone medallion that affirms the property’s 1851 establishment. Made using a unique cast-resin process, the medallion looks like solid limestone but weighs far less.
