Alejandra Garcia-Castro

Designer
Ms. Garcia-Castro joined Huie Design as a Designer in 2011. She has been an Environmental Graphic Designer for five years and has developed excellent analytical, research, quality control and organizational skills, as well as fine tuned her visual communication, conceptual and presentation skills.

Prior to joining Huie Design, Alejandra was a Designer for Jacobs Engineering in Atlanta from 2005to 2010. She led and supported multiple projects through analysis, design development and design intent phases as well as contributed in the development of Wayfinding Master Plans and Signage Standards and Guidelines. Her project experience and client list include: Miami International Airport’s Rental Car Center in Miami, FL; Lake Charles Regional Airport in Lake Charles, LA; Amarillo International Airport in Amarillo, TX; Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, GA; Phoenix Sky Harbor Intl. Airport, Phoenix, AZ.

Ms. Garcia-Castro completed her Masters in Industrial Design at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2007 and focused her graduate thesis on the issues surrounding the successful design of bilingual (English-Spanish) airport signage systems in the United States. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Alejandra made Dean’s List throughout her education, was presented the Georgia Tech Tower Award and was featured in the Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities in 2000. She is a member of SEGD, IDSA and participated on the board of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority at the collegiate level.
